Scope: Deep well drilling for cathodic protection (CP) and electrical earthing
Project Overview
Field development scopes demand repeatable delivery across multiple work fronts, with strict interface control and documentation discipline. This project required deep drilling support for two critical integrity systems—cathodic protection and electrical earthing—where acceptance depends on both execution quality and traceable records.
“The works covered deep well drilling to support CP applications, alongside drilling support for electrical earthing Execution was organized to maintain consistent outputs and minimize disruption to the broader Petrofac work program. ”

Execution Approach
-
Pre-mobilization alignment: access, permits, work-front constraints, and interface points.
-
Controlled drilling progression: stability-focused supervision and safe equipment handling.
-
Installation readiness: ensuring outputs are compatible with downstream CP/earthing installation activities.
-
Standardized closeout: consistent reporting structure to support efficient review and sign-off.
HSE and Interface Management
Deep drilling activity is inherently high risk (rotating equipment, lifting, moving plant, and live-site constraints). Execution therefore relies on practical risk controls, safe work zones, and permit discipline to protect personnel and maintain program continuity.
Closeout is structured to reduce review cycles: documented scope completion, clear traceability of completed work, and organised records that align with EPC acceptance expectations.
